Modern CPR issues a Certificate of Completion built on the 2025 international guidelines. It’s independent — not AHA or Red Cross branded, and not the same as an in-person “BLS” skills check that some clinical or licensed roles require. Many families, employers, and programs accept an online certificate; some require in-person, hands-on training. Before you enroll for a specific requirement, please confirm it will be accepted — see our acceptance guide or ask us. If a listed employer won’t accept it, we’ll refund you.
Common questions
Does this really cover infants and small children?
Yes. Child (age 1 to puberty) and infant (under 1) techniques are taught throughout — compressions, rescue breaths, and choking relief — because they’re different from adult techniques and are exactly what a caregiver needs.
Will families accept an online certificate?
Many families and nanny agencies are happy with an online Certificate of Completion, especially for general childcare. Some agencies require in-person, hands-on training. If you’re working toward a specific requirement, confirm it will be accepted first — see our acceptance guide.
How long does it take, and how long is it valid?
About four hours at your own pace. Your certificate is valid for two years, and you can renew when it’s time.
